Rappahannock Electric Cooperative crews have been assisting sister electric co-ops in Georgia, where storm damage from Hurricane Helene is extensive.
REC says they have been making repairs and restoring service in Clarkesville, Ga., where they are supporting Habersham EMC, and in Carrollton, Ga., where they supported Carroll EMC.
Cooperation Among Cooperatives is one of the 7 cooperative principles. REC officials say they are glad to lend support.
Northern Neck Electric Cooperative is assisting Powell Valley Electric Cooperative in Tennessee.
