As you travel through Orange County, speed and seatbelt enforcement will be monitored

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has announced that is has been awarded federal funds to assist with traffic safety, focusing on speed and seatbelt enforcement. The grant allows 300 hours of overtime for traffic enforcement on the roads of Orange County beginning October 1st.
A Facebook posting says:  “We were also awarded funds to purchase two Kustom handheld LIDAR’s for speed enforcement.
With these funds Deputies will have the ability to solely focus on traffic enforcement and proactively slow down drivers in Orange County.”
