Stafford County crime report, Aug. 22-28

The following crimes were reported to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office from Aug. 22-28:

• ASSAULT McDonald’s, 893 Garrisonville Road, 8/23, 2:30 p.m. Deputy T.S. Myree responded to a juvenile victim who advised an unknown female demanded he “get up and move.” The victim refused and the suspect assaulted him. The suspect was discovered to be intoxicated and had a box of wine in her possession. She was charged with assault and battery and public intoxication. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
• BREAKING AND ENTERING True Road, 8/24, 3:52 p.m. Deputies responded to a breaking and entering. The victim advised she went downstairs to do laundry when she observed an unknown male in her residence. The suspect stole multiple items of food.  
• DISTURBANCE Clear Spring Lane, 8/25, 1:05 a.m. Deputies responded to a disturbance. An unsupervised party got out of hand and numerous people were fighting in the street. Deputies arrived and separated the parties. Two females were charged with assault and battery by mob, one female was charged with assault and battery by mob and providing a false identity to law enforcement, one female was charged with disorderly conduct, one female was charged with public intoxication, and one male was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. 
• DRUGS Mountain View High School, 2135 Mountain View Road, 8/21, 2:19 p.m. Deputy H. Rivera was conducting his SRO duties when he was informed of drug activity. Staff discovered a student in possession of both marijuana and a THC vape. A summons for possession of marijuana on school grounds was obtained.
  -Kings Highway, 8/25, 10:12 p.m. Sergeant B.U. Demirci and Deputy N.J. Amato responded to a drug problem. A suspect was found in possession of suspected controlled substances and provided a false identity to deputies. He was served on three outstanding warrants and charged with possession of controlled substances and providing a false identity to law enforcement. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. 
• DUI Forbes Street, 8/21, 7:19 p.m. Deputy A.E. Epps responded to a single vehicle auto accident. A vehicle struck a brick wall. Epps made contact with the driver who advised she “messed up.” She had signs of intoxication and suspected controlled substances were located. She was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years, possession of controlled substances, and driving while revoked. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
  -Staffordboro Boulevard, 8/22, 8:47 p.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor responded to a drunk driver complaint on Garrisonville Road. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and the driver had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming “three Coronas” prior to driving. He was charged with driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -2800 block of Richmond Highway, 8/23, 12:25 a.m. Deputy S. Waheed responded to a drunk driver complaint of a swerving Nissan. Waheed conducted a traffic stop. The driver had signs of intoxication and a charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain the lane of travel. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -Wawa, 3099 Richmond Highway, 8/23, 1:30 p.m. Deputy C.S. Harding responded to a drunk driver complaint of another swerving Nissan. Harding made contact with the driver, who had signs of intoxication. Within the vehicle were numerous empty bottles of alcohol. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -Intersection of Kings Highway and Cool Springs Road, 8/23, 5:56 p.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor responded to a drunk driver complaint. Trainor made contact with the driver who had signs of intoxication, admitted to consuming “three beers” and had two children in the vehicle. He was charged with driving under the influence with a child present. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -Potomac Hills Fire Station, 8/24, 12:47 a.m. First Sergeant M.R. Flick observed a Toyota traveling 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone, failing to maintain the lane of travel. Flick conducted a traffic stop as Deputy J.J. Suh responded to assist. The driver was charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2, reckless driving, and failure to maintain the lane of travel. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -Primmer House Road, 8/27, 8:02 a.m. Deputy J.E. Cordes discovered a small fender bender in the turn lane. The at-fault driver had signs of intoxication. The victim advised the suspect threw a can into a nearby storm drain prior to Cordes’ arrival. This can was discovered to be a Four Loko. The driver was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five years with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober. 
• FRAUD Whitson Woods Place, 8/22, 5:04 p.m. Deputy J.J. Holetzky responded to a victim who advised he was given a fraudulent check.
• LARCENY Target, 1090 Stafford Market Place, 8/22, 7:28 p.m. Deputy J.J. Holetzky responded to a female suspect who was shoplifting with her husband. When confronted, the female assaulted a staff member and the two suspects fled the area. Deputy X.D. Bates located the suspects and the stolen vacuum at Wawa at 105 Garrisonville Road. The female was charged with assault and battery and shoplifting. She was released on personal recognizance by the magistrate. The male suspect was issued summonses for shoplifting and a traffic violation.
  -Duff Green Park, 75 James Ashby Parkway, 8/24, 3:04 p.m. Deputy F.A. Martinez responded to multiple vehicle break-ins. Residents are reminded to remove valuables from their unattended vehicles.
  -Pratt Park, 8/24, 3:41 p.m. Deputy I.E. Baldi responded to a vehicle break-in. The victim had a window of her vehicle broken and her purse stolen. A sergeant in Maryland recovered the purse.
  -Buffalo Mo’s, 33 Wicomico Drive, 8/26, 2:09 p.m. Deputy A.M. Pitts responded to a victim who advised his toolbox and tools were stolen from his vehicle.
  -7/Eleven, 1 Commerce Parkway, 8/27, 7:59 a.m. Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to staff who advised a male they are familiar with stole two pairs of sunglasses. The suspect was charged with shoplifting and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail pending his ability to participate in a bond hearing. 
• PUBLIC INTOXICATION Ebenezer Church Road, 8/22, 1:42 a.m. Deputy C.B. Osborne responded to a caller who said someone was knocking on her door. Osborne found the knocker who had signs of intoxication. He was arrested for public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -Falmouth Beach, 401 River Road, 8/24, 6:38 p.m. Deputy E.L. Shelton responded to a public intoxication call. A suspect was charged for public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
  -Brittany Manor Way, 8/26, 9:47 p.m. Deputy C.D. Quebedeaux responded to a call of an intoxicated female walking down the road. Quebedeaux located the suspect lying on the ground listening to the “Mulan” soundtrack. She was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.
• PURSUIT Wawa, 275 Butler Road, 8/21, 2:44 a.m. Deputy E.L. Shelton attempted to make contact with the driver of an Acura when the driver drove off, kicking off a pursuit. The pursuit continued onto Warrenton Road, then northbound I-95 where additional deputies joined in the pursuit. Due to the dangerous driving, the pursuit was called off in the area of Centreport Parkway. The investigation is ongoing.
  -Warrenton Road and McLane Drive, 8/21, 11:34 p.m. Sergeant B.U. Demirci observed a vehicle with expired registration and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver instead accelerated towards southbound I-95, kicking off a pursuit. Due to the dangerous driving behavior of the suspect, the pursuit was called off at the county line; however, Virginia State Police were notified of the transgression. They would locate, pursue, and detain the driver in King William County. Warrants for felony eluding and driving while suspended were submitted. 
• THREATS Riverton Drive, 8/25, 8:03 p.m. Deputy R.W. Stamm responded to a victim who was scammed during a Facebook Marketplace transaction. The suspect made threatening statements including a picture of a gun. Stamm identified the suspect and obtained a warrant for threats of death.
• VANDALISM Duff Green Park, 75 James Ashby Parkway, 8/24, 12:13 p.m. Deputy R.M. Dunn responded to a call that an unknown male poured “a cup of pee” into the victim’s vehicle. The liquid was determined to be alcohol and the suspect has yet to be identified.
  -Deacon Road, 8/25, 2:49 p.m. Deputy F.A. Martinez responded to a victim who advised his mailbox was “blown up.” Neighbors said they heard a loud boom at 3 a.m.
• WARRANT SERVED Tacketts Mill Road, 8/23, 10:08 p.m. Deputy C.M. Sterne responded to a warrant service. The suspect was wanted out of Stafford County for credit card theft and credit card fraud. Sterne informed the suspect of the charges. A family member interjected herself into the conversation and attempted to block Sterne from detaining the suspect. The wanted suspect was detained and served on her outstanding warrants and was released by the magistrate on personal recognizance. The family member was issued a summons for obstruction of justice.
• WEAPON OFFENSE Area of Richmond Highway and Washington Drive, 8/27, 7:49 p.m. Deputy K.F. Bierfeldt responded to a victim who advised they were involved in a road rage incident in the area when the suspect brandished a firearm.
