Culpeper Police reported on their Facebook page that on Tuesday night 3rd Platoon nightshift officers stopped to say hi to JJ while he was out walking with his aunt.
The posting says while talking to him, the squad learned that JJ’s new bike has been stolen from his home over the weekend. JJ was upset over the loss of his new bike.
Culpeper Police say, “Our community is always supporting our officers so 3rd Platoon decided to pay it forward.”
With the help of some civilian friends, the squad bought JJ a replacement bike, helmet, protective gear, safety lights, and a bike lock.
The Facebook posting says, “JJ was thrilled, and we hope he enjoys the new bike!”
