A Stafford County man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in the 600 block of Poplar Road early Wednesday morning.
Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 1:10 a.m. after learning that a vehicle struck a tree and rolled over numerous times.
When authorities arrived, they discovered the vehicle was occupied by four people. The driver, 18-year-old Landon Lynn of Stafford, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other three occupants were transported to nearby hospitals to be treated for injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling northbound when Lynn lost control and went off the roadway. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
The crash remains under investigation by Deputy R.A. Weatherholtz. Anyone with any information is asked to call Weatherholtz at 658-4450.
