Stafford County crime report, Aug. 15-21

The following crimes were reported to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office from Aug. 15-21:

  • ASSAULT Mountain View Road, 2135 Mountain View Road, 8/15, 8:16 a.m. Deputy H. Rivera was conducting his SRO duties when he was informed of a fight after an assembly. Criminal complaints for assault and battery were filed for the predominant aggressor.-Colonial Forge High School, 550 Courthouse Road, 8/16, 7:25 a.m. Deputy G.M. Lum was conducting his SRO duties when he was informed a student assaulted another. When the victim’s friends attempted to stop the assaulting student, they were also assaulted. Four criminal complaints for assault and battery were filed.

    -Burning Tree Court, 8/18, 1:10 a.m. Deputy S. Waheed responded to an assault. An 18-year-old assaulted a juvenile after inappropriate comments were made. The suspect then brandished a knife and demand everyone to leave. The suspect was charged with strangulation, assault and battery. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $10,000 secured bond.

  • DUI Forbes Street, 8/17, 12:33 a.m. Deputy A.E. Epps responded to a single vehicle auto accident. The driver had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming roughly five beers prior to driving. He was charged with driving under the influence and held until sober

    -Sunoco, 201 Emancipation Highway, 8/17, 1:23 a.m. Deputy A.J. Charoenthep was on Butler Road when he observed a motorcycle without rear lights on. Charoenthep conducted a traffic stop and the driver had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming three beers. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and having improper taillights. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    -Intersection of Garrisonville Road and Dorothy Lane, 8/18, 7:23 p.m. First Sergeant D.W. Fetterolf was traveling on Garrisonville Road when a Chevy Tahoe ran a red light. Fetterolf conducted a traffic stop as Deputy J.J. Holetzky responded to assist. The driver had signs of intoxication, admitted to consuming “a beer,” and had an open can of beer. The driver was charged with driving under the influence, drinking while driving, failure to obey a traffic light, and second offense refusal. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.

    -Van Horn Lane, 8/20, 7:36 p.m. Deputy A.E. Epps responded to a single vehicle auto accident. The driver had signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving. He was charged with driving under the influence second offense within five to 10 years with a blood alcohol content between .15 and .2. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

  • FRAUD Public Safety Building, 1225 Courthouse Road, 8/16, 7:36 p.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor responded to a fraud. The victim advised she received a call from “Lieutenant Jeffery Jenkins,” who advised she missed court and demanded the victim purchase gift cards to avoid arrest. The Sheriff’s Office will never request money over the phone. If you get a call like this, please report it.
  • HIT AND RUN Intersection of Garrisonville Road and Richmond Highway, 8/15, 9:00 p.m. Deputy K.W. Suter was on eastbound Garrisonville Road when the school bus behind him was struck by a gold sedan. With the help of an Aquia Harbour officer, the suspect vehicle and driver were located at Brent Park. She had numerous traffic offenses. The driver was charged with hit and run, driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, having fictitious tags, and operating an unregistered vehicle. She was released by the magistrate on personal recognizance.
  • LARCENY First Auto Gallery, 24 Derrick Lane, 8/15, 7:05 a.m. Deputy K.R. Sprinkles responded to a larceny. Staff advised they arrived at the business and discovered a Mercedes missing.-Target, 1090 Stafford Market Place, 8/15, 3:28 p.m. Deputy R.W. Stamm responded to a larceny. Staff advised they observed a juvenile shoplifting nearly $100 worth of items and stopped him. A criminal complaint for shoplifting was filed.

    -Target, 1090 Stafford Market Place, 8/15, 5:58 p.m. Deputy E.C. Taylor responded to Target after staff advised a male suspect stole nearly $160 worth of items. Taylor was able to identify the suspect and locate him. The suspect was charged with one count of shoplifting for this incident, and three counts of shoplifting for previously unsolved larcenies at the business. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,500 secured bond.

    -Target, 25 South Gateway Drive, 8/16, 4:07 p.m. Deputy R.L. Hubbard responded to a larceny. Staff advised they noticed a repeat shoplifter concealing items. He was stopped by staff, identified, and forced to return the stolen items. A warrant for shoplifting was obtained.

    -Home Depot, 305 Worth Avenue, 8/18, 3:46 p.m. Deputy X.D. Bates responded to a larceny. Staff advised a male suspect stole nearly $220 worth of tools.

    -Walmart, 217 Garrisonville Road, 8/18, 4:35 p.m. Deputy J.J. Holetzky responded to a larceny. Staff advised they had video of two female suspects skip scanning items.

    -Walmart, 217 Garrisonville Road, 8/18, 5:43 p.m. Deputy J.J. Holetzky was informed of yet another larceny. Staff advised a female suspect was currently skip scanning items. She was stopped and issued a summons for shoplifting.

    -Windsor Ridge Court, 8/19, 2:34 p.m. Deputy R.M. Dunn responded to a larceny. The victim advised he received notification his new cell phone was delivered; however, when he returned home, he discovered the package was stolen.

    -Tobacco City, 754 Warrenton Road, 8/20, 9:50 a.m. Deputy T.S. Myree responded to a larceny. Staff advised a male suspect grabbed nearly $160 worth of CBD products. He was last seen running towards England Run.

    -Deene Court, 8/20, 3:31 p.m. Deputy R.W. Stamm responded to a larceny. The victim advised new cellphones were dropped off at her residence and a male suspect stole the packages and fled the area in a black Nissan Sentra.

     

  • PUBLIC INTOXICATION Rouse Center, 1600 Mine Road, 8/14, 12:10 a.m. Sergeant M.L. Jacobeen observed two males, under the age of 21, with signs of intoxication and containers of alcoholic beverages. Both were charged with public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol. One suspect was additionally charged with providing a false identity to law enforcement and possession of a fake driver’s license. Both were held until sober.-Woodlawn Shopping Center, 282 Deacon Road, 8/14, 7:56 p.m. Deputy N.J. Amato responded to a caller reporting a 38-year-old female rolling around in the grass. The suspect had signs of intoxication and seven empty mini-bottles of vodka. She was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    -Comfort Inn, 20 Salisbury Drive, 8/15, 4:35 p.m. Deputy B.E. Vaughn responded to a caller who advised there was a belligerent female yelling and attempting to get into vehicles. Vaughn observed the suspect flee from one motel to the next. She was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    -Falmouth Beach, 401 River Road, 8/15, 7:12 p.m. Deputy C.M. Sterne responded to a disturbance down by the river. It was advised a male was attempting to provoke women. He was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    -7-Eleven, 1947 Richmond Highway, 8/17, 2:26 a.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor responded to a caller who advised a male was stumbling around the business knocking things over. The suspect, who identified himself as “Demon” was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    -Centreport Parkway, 8/17, 9:01 p.m. Deputy K.P. Hall responded to a caller who advised a male was attempting to wave down vehicles. The suspect advised his vehicle broke down; however, no vehicle was located nearby. He was charged with public intoxication and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

    -Fitness 1440, 570 Celebrate Parkway, 8/19, 5:53 p.m. Deputy D.S. Jett responded to a caller who advised there was a male in the parking lot who appeared “stressed” and acting like he was being arrested. Jett made contact with the suspect, who advised he took cocaine that transported him to “another planet.” Deputies searched the suspect’s vehicle and located suspected controlled substances. The suspect was charged with public intoxication, possession of controlled substances, and possession of paraphernalia. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

     

  • THREATS Colonial Forge High School, 550 Courthouse Road, 8/14, 10:00 a.m. Deputy G.M. Lum was conducting his SRO duties when he was informed a student sent a threatening message to another using his school issued email. A criminal complaint for using a computer for harassment was issued. 
  • TRESPASS Wawa, 105 Garrisonville Road, 8/16, 6:33 p.m. Sergeant M.L. Jacobeen responded to a trespassing call. Jacobeen made contact with the male, who he knew from previous interactions, and discovered he was wanted out of Spotsylvania County. The suspect was charged with trespassing and served on his outstanding warrant. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
