Fredericksburg city crime report, July 28-Aug. 5

The following crimes were reported to the Fredericksburg Police Department from July 28-Aug. 5.

  • Larceny- Theft from Motor Vehicle: 1500 block Augustine Avenue, 7/31, A person reported items in his unsecured
    vehicle had been tossed around. 1400 Payne Street, 7/31, A person reported items had been stolen from his vehicle.
    500 block Wolfe Street, 8/1, A person reported their book bag was stolen from
    their unsecured vehicle. 500 block Forest Village, 8/2, A person reported that someone had stolen her vehicle registration and smeared soap all over her vehicle.
  • Larceny- Theft of Motor Vehicle: 500 block Forest Village, 7/31, A person reported their rear tag was stolen from
    their vehicle. 400 block Hawke Street, 7/28, A person reported her front license plate had been stolen.
  • Larceny- Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts: 1400 block Carl D. Silver Parkway, 8/4, A person reported the attempted theft of
    their vehicle’s catalytic converter. It had been detached and had a cut mark on one end. 1200 block Townsend Boulevard, 8/3, A person reported their vehicle’s catalytic converter had been stolen.
  • Vandalism of Motor Vehicle: 1400 block Carl D. Silver Parkway, 8/2, A person reported a dent to the front
    passenger side of their vehicle just above the wheel well.
  • Larceny- Theft from Building: Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 1951 Carl D. Silver Parkway, 7/28, An employee reported
    that she left the restaurant at the end of her shift and noticed the cash she had
    in her purse was missing. 2700 block Cowan Boulevard, 8/3, A person reported that her wallet was stolen. Funland, 1351 Central Park Boulevard, 8/4, A person reported her purse had been stolen.
  • Larceny- All Other Larceny: 2200 block Cowan Boulevard, 8/5, A person reported that she had not received her check from social security. When she called the Social Security office, they reported the check had been cashed.
  • Assault- Aggravated: 500 block Emancipation Highway, 8/1, While driving on Emancipation Highway,
    a person reported that another driver became angry with him and followed him to the place of business he was traveling to while yelling at him.
  • Assault- Simple: 1700 block Noyack Lane, 8/3, A tenant asked a female to stop playing in the
    bushes in front of the building. The female approached the tenant and slapped her across the face.
