VDOT says two median crossovers on Route 3, which are located immediately east and west of Lick Run (First Day of Chancellorsville battle), are now closed.
VDOT says the closure is necessary to allow crews to build a temporary traffic pattern that will be in place during the second phase of the Route 3 westbound over Lick Run culvert installation project. During the second phase, the crossovers will temporarily reopen for the extended weekend operation in a modified configuration.
After this, the crossovers will be closed again until the completion of the project, early November 2024, at which point the crossovers will be restored to their original configuration.
