‘Embrace Your Pride’ during event at Riverfront Park on Saturday

by | Jun 27, 2024 | ALLFFP, Events, Fredericksburg, LGBTQ+

This year’s Fredericksburg Pride celebration has a new location for its full day of festivities. Instead of being held at Old Mill Park as it has for the past two years, the 2024 event takes place Saturday at Riverfront Park.

The park will be outfitted with three shade tents and a misting station in addition to the splash pad to help guests stay cool. Water will be available on-site as well as restrooms.

This year’s theme is “Embrace Your Pride,” and over 118 vendors will offer resources, products, services, information, treats and more.

The day begins at 10 a.m. with speakers and then a one-mile community march at 10:30 a.m. through downtown and back to Riverfront Park. Fredericksburg VRE Parking Lot B is available to the public as well as City Dock parking and parking in the main Sophia Street parking lot.

Fredericksburg Pride will have an American Sign Language interpreter onsite before and during the march. The festival runs until 5 p.m. and will include musical performances, games, raffles and kids’ activities.

An after-party begins in Historic Market Square behind Fredericksburg Area Museum at 5 p.m. with live performances, speakers, drinks, food and an 18+ GLOW dance party (9-11 p.m.). Early entrance will not be permitted.

All events are free. For more information visit FXBG Pride’s website or Facebook event page.
