Tonight, we have a warehouse loaded with food drive collections for our volunteers to sort through, thanks to the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive conducted by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Today’s collection of food items left at mailboxes for local letter carriers to pick up brought us enough food to provide 19,875 meals for our community. Once our volunteers can sort through the items, that food will be on its way to tables around the region.
Thanks to all the local members of the National Association of Letter Carriers who gathered the food, to all who donated food, and to the staff and volunteers who worked into the evening and through rain showers to load it on trucks and transport it to our warehouse. It was a great day spent in support of a great cause!
