Krys Bashista (center) strikes a post-race pose with friends at the Stafford Hospital Spring Fever 5K. Krys won the distinction of being the Coldwell Banker Elite Race Series 100,000th finisher. Krys and her colleagues from Stafford County Schools are long-time participants in the Stafford Hospital 5K, even participating virtually during the pandemic. “A bunch of us at school who were friends started walking after school… We tried walking once or twice a week. We’re accountability buddies.”
