Fairfax Senator Dave Marsdan said vehicles are acting as vending machines for firearms. If police see a vehicle with a visable handgun inside, the bill would allow them to have the vehicle towed. All 19 Republicans in the Senate voted against the bill. All 21 Democrats voted for it.
