From Tree Fredericksburg
Tree Fredericksburg is now holding their annual native tree and shrub sale. Order online at www.treefredericksburg.org and pick up your plants on Saturday, September 23 at the Fred Nats Stadium, 42 Jackie Robinson Way, 22401 between the hours of 8 am and Noon.
25 varieties of native trees and 25 varieties of native shrubs are available for sale. Over 7,000 trees and shrubs are available while supplies last.
Three gallon trees are $12 and one gallon trees and shrubs are $6.50. Prices for all trees and shrubs are subsidized by grants.
At the stadium that day will be the First Annual Plant & Play Event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring lectures and workshops on native plants. There will also be outdoor activities for children of all ages sponsored by the Fredericksburg Parks Department. The event is free and open to the public.
