We think the late Doris Buffett and Fred Jerman (pictured ) would both be thrilled to see the excitement and enthusiasm and sheer joy of these players as they take the field at Sunshine Ballpark. This is exactly what Doris hoped for when she helped build the ballpark and founded the league.
We think that anyone who comes out and watches a game can see the value to these children, to their familes and to the entire community. And we think the friendships being made between these young players are invaluable to us all.
