Did you know that paddleboarders and kayakers are required to have a wearable U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket on board in the Commonwealth of Virginia?
No matter the size of your vessel, you are considered to be a recreational boater and are required by law to have a wearable life jacket on board for each person. Operators of small vessels such as stand-up paddleboards and kayaks are extremely susceptible to falls overboard making life jackets even more important to the safety of those operators.
