Ā launched off at the Hopyard Boat Landing after hiking Caledon State Park. She enjoyed one of the most relaxing ways to cool off in the summer, cruising down the Rappahannock River with her pup. But safety first! They both wore life vests. This boat ramp is one of two public access points on the river in King George Countyāthe other is at Wilmont Boat Landing.

Ā set up her classroom at Sealston Elementary in preparation for the 2023-2024 school year starting next month. King George County Schools has over 330 teachers who instruct approximately 4,500 students and employs a total of about 680 people.

Ā joined nearly 30 vendors at the King George Farmers Market this Saturday where approximately 1,000 patrons stop by the King George Middle School weekly. The market has been a success since 2009 and is open to the public 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday from the last week in April through the end of October.

Ā Soccer BarbieĀ
Ā stepped over to Barnesfield Park to practice some footwork in preparation for the fall recreation league. Barnesfield has two of many multipurpose fields in King George that are used for not only soccer but also football, field hockey, ultimate frisbee and more!

Ā Animal Rescue BarbieĀ
Ā visited the King George Public Animal Shelter where King George Animal Control provides quality care to nearly 750 rescue animals per year. Currently, the shelter has 45 cats and 22 dogs in their care, many of which are ready for their forever home!
