Attorney General Jason Miyares endorses Tara Durant for Virginia Senate

Republican Tara Durant announced that Attorney General Jason Miyares has endorsed her campaign for Virginia Senate in the new 27th District. In the House of Delegates, Durant has championed the administration’s priorities on public safety and support for law enforcement. “I’m proud to endorse Tara Durant for State Senate. As a member of the house of delegates, she has always stood with the rule of law,” stated Miyares. “She will stand with law enforcement and work to keep our families and communities safe. I’m proud to join the impressive list of community leaders in supporting Tara!”  Attorney General Miyares joins Congresswoman Jen Kiggans, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur and former Sheriff Charlie Jett in supporting Durant’s campaign for Virginia Senate. This endorsement comes one day after it was revealed that Durant leads the Republican field in fundraising, entering the second quarter with a 9-1 cash on hand advantage. The Republican Primary will be held on Tuesday, June 20th.
