Stafford Supervisors announce the appointment of Randy Vosburg to the position of County Administrator. Vosburg has been serving as County Administrator of Highlands County, Florida, since his appointment in 2017. He will take over as County Administrator in Stafford replacing interim County Administrator Mike Smith on July 5, 2022.
“Hiring a County Administrator is one of the most important duties the Board has to ensure that government services and strategic direction for the community continue to head in the right direction,” said Crystal Vanuch, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. “Randy holds a diverse repertoire of education, experience and accomplishments that aligned impeccably with the Board’s vision. The Board looks forward to working with Randy on vital County and community initiatives to improve the organization and its services.”
As County Administrator, Vosburg will oversee all County departments and be responsible for the day-to-day management of County government in accordance with the policies and directives of the Board.

Before his time as County Administrator in Highlands County, Vosburg was hired in 2013 as the Assistant County Administrator for Highland County. He also served in the Polk County Sheriff’s Office as the Director of Strategic Planning and was promoted to the Director of Professional Compliance. He began his career with Polk County in Growth Management as a Land Use Planner. Vosburg has a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of South Florida and bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History from Florida Southern College. Vosburg is also a Certified Public Manager (CPM) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
