Crews will close an Interstate 95 on-ramp in Fredericksburg to safely complete final paving activities next week as part of the I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing project.
Starting at midnight, Monday, April 4, the Route 3 eastbound on-ramp to I-95 southbound will close to traffic and will reopen at 3 a.m.
Drivers will be detoured to continue on Route 3 eastbound and U-turn at Gateway Boulevard to Route 3 westbound, where vehicles can access an on-ramp to I-95 southbound.

Message boards will be posted to provide advance notice of the ramp closure.
Weather permitting, the ramp will close overnight between midnight and 3 a.m. over four consecutive nights, starting early Monday through early Thursday, April 7.
Virginia State Police will assist with traffic control near the interchange.
All other ramps will remain open in this work zone.
