Gunfire incidents in Fredericksburg

by | Mar 15, 2022 | Police and Fire

From Fredericksburg Police:
“When there is an incident involving gunshots, it demands an entire patrol squad and often several detectives to conduct a thorough investigation. Three shots-fired incidents in a 24-hour period, two of which occurred simultaneously, is unprecedented and exhausting. I am impressed and beyond proud of my employees for making arrests in all three cases so quickly. Their efforts and successes bring justice to the victims and reassure witnesses as well as City residents that they can count on us to show up and deliver,” said Police Chief Brian Layton.
Included in this news release is a synopsis of each event. Fortunately, no persons, structures, or vehicles were damaged during the incidents.
