From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:
A juvenile driver was charged in an accident Friday night that left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
On March 11th at 6:59 p.m. Deputy C.M. Sterne responded to the Walmart at 11 Village Parkway for a pedestrian struck accident. The investigation revealed a 70-year-old pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart in the parking lot, when she was struck by an SUV. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the SUV was identified as a 16-year-old. The driver was subsequently charged with reckless driving and released on a summons.
