The Old Rag pilot begins March 1. In order to set foot on the trail, you’ll need a day-use ticket purchased on https://www.recreation.gov/
From March 1 to November 30, 2022, all visitors who wish to use trails in the Old Rag area (Saddle, Ridge, and Ridge Access trails) will need to obtain an Old Rag day-use ticket in advance. This is a pilot project intended to help evaluate and adapt to a permanent system in the future.
