From the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office:
On February 19, 2022 at approximately 8:06 p.m. the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Stubbs Bridge Rd and Woolfolk Rd for a reported shooting. Deputies arrived and found that a dispute had occurred at a residence on Woolfolk Rd between several individuals.
Two individuals left the residence in a vehicle when they noticed the suspect following them. In the area of Stubbs Bridge Rd and Woolfolk Rd, the suspect fired several rounds toward the occupied vehicle striking it. No injuries were reported in the shooting. The suspect returned to his residence where he was arrested without incident by Deputies.
A firearm was recovered at the scene. Brian Simpson, forty-six-year old male from Spotsylvania was arrested for Felony shooting into an occupied vehicle. Mr. Simpson was taken before the Magistrate and released on a personal recognizance bond. No injuries were reported in the shooting.
