Prince William Fire and Rescue says a Dale City man suffered critical burn injuries in a two-alarm blaze on Tuesday morning that left six adults and a child without a home.
Fire crews were dispatched about 11:30am for a fire with a resident trapped inside. A news release says crews arrived within four minutes from the time of the first call and encountered heavy fire and smoke. Prince William Fire and Rescue says a quick-fire attack was started with firefighters finding the man and removing him from the burning home.
The man was the only person at home at the time of the blaze was flown to a regional burn center with life-threatening injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
