The King George Sheriff’s Office is investigating a carjacking early Monday at the Sheetz on Route 3. 1st Sgt. Kecia Wharton with the King George Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened about 5am at the Sheetz on Route 3 in the area of Dahlgren Road. An employee was approached by two men with their faces covered. They demanded his vehicle.
The men took the vehicle and went east on Route 3.
The stolen vehicle is an orange 2017 Hyundai Tucson with Virginia plate UCP-3501.
Wharton says one suspect was wearing a black hoodie with black pants. The other had a gray hoodie with blue jeans. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Garrant at 540-775-8592. Wharton says do not approach the vehicle. Call 9-1-1.
