The Stafford Sheriff’s Office has received reports of thefts from construction sites in the area of I-95 and Warrenton Road. The suspects removed locks off of storage containers and stole numerous tools. The thefts occurred during the overnight hours.

Here are some crime prevention tips:
– Utilize fencing. Make it difficult to access the work site during off hours.
– Don’t make life easy for criminals. Lock away or hide any valuable materials and tools at the end of each shift.
– Keep your job site well lit. Thieves like to operate under the cover of darkness to help them remain inconspicuous.
– Track your materials. Ensure you keep a running inventory of all deliveries in and out so you know exactly what equipment and materials are on-site at all times.
