From VDOT:
VDOT advises drivers to use extreme caution this morning with road conditions remaining slick and slushy.
Interstate 95 is clear with visible pavement and travel lanes.
Most primary roads and heavily-traveled secondary roads are clear in the Fredericksburg, Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula areas.
Many secondary roads and subdivision streets in the counties of Caroline, Spotsylvania and Stafford remain in minor to moderate condition, with patches of snow on the road surface and passable with caution.
Slick conditions may be more likely on bridges, overpasses, and ramps, which freeze first due to lower pavement temperatures.
Crews made substantial progress overnight with removing snow on I-95 and other major routes.
Today, plows will continue clearing less traveled secondary roadways and neighborhoods to make them passable in the Fredericksburg area.
A high wind advisory has been lifted from the Norris Bridge, which carries Route 3 traffic over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties.
VDOT will remain in emergency operations until all state-maintained roads are safe for travel.
If travel is necessary:

o Plan to allow extra travel time
o Clean off all snow and ice from vehicle
o Reduce your vehicle speed
o Increase following distance between vehicles
o Use EXTREME caution

- Give VDOT crews space to work. Keep a safe distance of at least five seconds behind trucks and other equipment that are plowing or treating the road. Do not pass a snowplow or spreader.
