From Mary Washington Healthcare: Our medical/surgical beds are at capacity and our ICU is over capacity. 77% of our ICU patients are COVID-19 patients. 48% of our medical/surgical bed patients are COVID-19 patients. As Dr. McDermott said in last night’s town hall, we are at a breaking point and need your help. Wear high quality masks whenever you leave your house, stay away from crowds, and get boosted if you’ve already been vaccinated.
All but 5 of the fully vaccinated patients on this graphic were eligible for boosters. Omicron is much more contagious than any other strain, and a booster will help offer you protection against severe disease.
