The Stafford Sheriff’s Office says a Spotsylvania woman died while helping a friend back out a parking space.
The Sheriff’s Office tells us the incident happened late Friday morning in the parking lot of a beauty salon at 4 Harrell Road in Falmouth. Police say the initial investigation revealed the 89-year old driver of a Hyundai Elantra backed into the victim, pinning her against an unoccupied, parked vehicle in the lot. Authorities say the two were friends
66-year old Hazel Cobb of Spotsylvania was pronounced dead. The accident is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Unit of the Stafford Sheriff’s Office.
