Veterans Day in Fredericksburg

The City of Fredericksburg announces Veterans Day Events in downtown this year to honor the contributions of our United States Veterans. Veterans Day, which is held on Thursday, November 11th, kicks off in downtown Fredericksburg with a Walking Procession starting at 10:00am.  Visitors are invited to watch the procession along the Washington Avenue Mall from Memorial Park to William and Barton Street.  The procession will conclude on George Street at the site of the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes­ Memorial, where the traditional Veterans Day Ceremony will begin promptly at 10:45am.

Parking is available in the Winchester Street Parking Garage, at the Fredericksburg Dog Park (Kenmore Avenue), the First Christian Church (Washington Avenue), and the lot at 1016 Charles Street.

Attendance at these events is completely free of charge and the public of all ages are invited to join. Events will be held rain or shine.
