Each year the Fredericksburg Regional CoC conducts a Point-in-Time (PIT) count of all persons experiencing homelessness in our region. With the assistance of volunteers, we work to find all people in our region experiencing homelessness, both sheltered and unsheltered, on a given night in January. This data is used to understand our progress toward ending homelessness in our region as well as to inform decision making throughout the year.
This year’s PIT count activities will be held on Wednesday, January 26th, and Thursday, January 27th. We are currently in search of volunteers to assist with administering surveys in the field. All volunteers will receive training on how to complete the surveys, so no experience is required. All volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate.
