There was a 27 person increase in hospitalizations from numbers reported Monday to Tuesday. However, the Rappahannock Area Health District tells us there was a lag in reporting from Friday to Monday. The hospitalizations on Monday were 72, not 53. 5pm Friday to 5pm Monday there were 19 new hospitalizations. Then, as of 5pm Monday, there were 8 more to reach today’s 80.
