The Gladys H. Oberle School in Fredericksburg, needs your help by Voting for Us to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm to help improve our school. Starting Tuesday, August 18 at 12:01am ET, U.S. residents who are 18 and older with a valid email address can vote for us at www.neighborhoodassist.com.
The Gladys H. Oberle School has until Friday, August 27 at 11:59pm ET to rally votes and anyone voting with a valid email address is allowed up to 10-votes per day per email. If you have more than one email address, you can vote 10-times per day from each email address. We need all the votes we can get!
As you know, the Gladys H. Oberle School is an accredited alternative private special education day school for high school and middle school age children with disabilities. The Oberle School partners with local public-school systems (see ERI Service Area below) to provide special education to students.
We are so excited to have been selected by the State Farm Review Committee to be a Top 200 National Finalist. Now we need the community’s help by voting for our school from August 18-27 so we can be one of the Top 40 nonprofits to win a $25,000 Neighborhood Assist Grant.
The school needs to purchase a new commercial grade oven/stove and dishwasher for our kitchen and Culinary Arts Program so, we can provide more hot breakfasts and lunches to our students through our Food for Thought Program. Some of our students depend on the meals they receive at the Oberle School because they are the only hot meals, they get each day.
The Joe and Mary Wilson Center for Career and Technical Education at the Oberle School provides an excellent Culinary Arts Program for our students, and a new commercial grade oven/stove will greatly enhance that vocational training program as well.
The Gladys H. Oberle School is encouraging you to go online over the next 10-days and vote (10 times per day per email) between August 18-27 for our cause to help the school win one of the forty $25,000 Neighborhood Assist grants. People can access the school’s page at https://www.neighborhoodassist.com/entry/2039157.
