Saying it was following state law, the Spotsylvania School Board voted 4-3 Monday night for a universal mask policy inside county schools. Voting yes: Braswell, Shelley, Grampp and Daniels.
Board Chairman Dawn Shelley said the state law in question had the support in Richmond by local Senator Bryce Reeves and Delegates Mark Cole and Bobby Orrock.
