From Fredericksburg Police:
Monday night at approximately 9:08 p.m., the Fredericksburg Police E-911 center received a report of a person with a stab wound in the 100 block of Wellington Lakes Drive. Patrol officers arrived at the incident and immediately began providing first aid to the victim.
Rescue arrived shortly after and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. Patrol officers set up a perimeter around the scene and began their investigation while a detective was requested to respond to the incident.
The victim remains hospitalized at this time and is in critical condition. The investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released as it develops.
