Virginia State Police are asking for assistance with identifying the person responsible for assaulting and stealing a taxi in Caroline County.
State police is also still looking for the stolen taxi cab. It’s a white Dodge Grand Caravan with a Maryland license plate: 62470B and “Victory Cab Inc” displayed on each side.
At 11:18 p.m. Friday night, State Police responded to the reported carjacking on I-95. The taxi cab driver reported that as he was transporting an adult, male passenger south on I-95 when the man suddenly attacked him. The driver pulled off to the shoulder near the 103 mile marker–near Kings Dominion– and was attacked a second time, pulled from his vehicle and left on the side of the interstate. The passenger drove away, headed south on I-95 in the taxi.
The 39-year-old cab driver refused medical treatment. The male attacker is described as being between 25 and 35 years of age. State Police released a photo of the suspect.
