An Orange County woman has been charged with second-degree murder after a shooting in Barboursville left a man dead Wednesday, June 16. The Sheriff’s Office says deputies investigated a shooting on Hamm Farm Road in Orange at 7pm.
36-year old James Manning was found dead of a gunshot wound. As deputies and Virginia State Police investigated the crime scene, information led them to 37-year old Brianna Knicely of Gordonsville. Her vehicle was stopped in the early morning hours Thursday.
Knicely has since been charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and shooting into an occupied dwelling. She’s being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
