From Fredericksburg Police:
On Sunday, June 13th at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Fredericksburg Police E-911 center received a report of a burglary in progress at the Express Food Mart located at 1240 Jefferson Davis Highway. Patrol officers responded to the incident and saw a man dressed in all black wearing a mask inside the store. They observed the front door glass was shattered. Officers ordered the male to exit the store and identified him as Riley Redfern, 18, of Fredericksburg. Redfern was arrested on the following charges:
• Burglary/ breaking and entering while armed with a deadly weapon (F)
• Possession of burglarious tools (F)
• Destruction of property (M)
• Petit larceny (M)
Redfern remains incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
