From the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board:
Rappahannock Area Community Services Board announces a continued partnership with Netsmart that will position the agency to capitalize on technological advances, measure outcomes and reduce gaps in communication among healthcare partners. RACSB and Netsmart share a common vision of leveraging technology and innovation to create a more seamless, coordinated, outcome-driven approach to serving the needs of individuals accessing mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services. Ultimately, RACSB’s extended partnership with Netsmart will allow the agency to provide more efficient care that meets the unique needs of each individual served.
“We are thrilled to continue our long history of success with RACSB by implementing an innovative approach and additional solutions and services to enhance their agency workflows,” said Netsmart CEO Mike Valentine. “Moving forward, RACSB will utilize the Netsmart CareFabric suite of solutions allowing for consumer engagement and self-involvement, along with measures reporting to meet state requirements. Through our joint effort, we will be able to increase efficiencies and improve care coordination to deliver the best support to the organization.”
Netsmart has powered RACSB’s electronic healthcare record (EHR) platform for more than 10 years and will now leverage more solutions and services of the CareFabric platform. This year, the two organizations have amped up their collaboration to include cloud-based hosting services and leverage the newest components of myAvatar including, targeted workflows while allowing configuration to meet the needs of each program in RACSB’s diverse service array.
“Most people don’t see or pay much attention to electronic health record platforms,” said Brandie Williams, RACSB’s Director of Operations. “But these behind-the-scenes transactions make a dramatic impact in our agency’s care for individuals with behavioral health concerns or developmental disabilities. We are pleased to partner with Netsmart, a company that truly understands and supports our dedication to the education, recovery, treatment, and wellness of the individuals we serve and to our community.”
This new collaboration will expand RACSB’s EHR capabilities by integrating the CareFabric platform, to seamlessly connect to the larger healthcare ecosystem, which will give clinicians a more holistic view of an individual’s care. A true interoperable network will provide improved methods of measuring outcomes and determining return on investment. This approach will also enable accelerated access to evidence-based practice and improve safety by minimizing unnecessary treatment, which translates directly back to high-quality care. As Virginia moves to a more collaborative system of care for behavioral health, developmental disability, and crisis services, our partnership with Netsmart positions RACSB to be prepared to not only meet but exceed the expectations of these emerging models of care.
“Most significantly, our partnership with Netsmart will give clinicians time to focus on what’s most important—the individual being served,” said Williams.
