From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:
An early Sunday morning breaking and entering has resulted in numerous felony charges for a woman from Courtland, Virginia.
Sunday at 4:29 a.m. deputies responded to a residence in Millbrook subdivision for a reported breaking and entering. Deputies determined a partially naked, muddy female had forced open the door of a home while armed with a pitchfork and attacked a resident. The suspect was not known to any of the residents in the home. The resident received serious, but non-life threatening injuries during the attack.
The suspect then fled to a nearby residence and was let inside when the homeowner thought she needed assistance. When deputies arrived and made contact with the suspect, they were attacked by the suspect. Deputies utilized a taser during the arrest, but it did not seem to have any effect on the suspect. Three deputies were assaulted while attempting to take the female into custody. The deputies are all fine, though one was treated at the hospital and released.
The suspect has been identified as Madison Snyder, 31, of Courtland, Virginia. Snyder is charged with burglary with a deadly weapon, breaking and entering with a deadly weapon, aggravated malicious wounding, and three counts of assault on a law enforcement officer. She was also wanted for outstanding charges in the state of Kansas and York County, Virginia. Snyder is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. This is an on-going investigation.
