A Burke resident was arrested over the weekend after causing a disturbance at a wedding party in Stafford County. On Saturday deputies responded to a reported fight in progress in the 400 block of Poplar Road.
Police say 40-year old Todd Gricher of Burke, had become steadily more intoxicated throughout the day. Residents attempted to have Gricher go into the home and sleep, but he came back outside. At one point, Gricher punched another person at the wedding in the face, causing a black eye.
Gricher was charged with being intoxicated in public, assault and battery and disorderly conduct. Gricher continued to be belligerent at the magistrate’s office and was ordered held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
