Spotsylvania County, Virginia Restaurant/Lodging/Tourism Association (VRLTA), and Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) team up for this first-ever “Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week,” March 30 to April 5, 2020. Virginians able to participate in the takeout challenge are asked to order takeout, delivery or curbside pickup from three area restaurants, breweries and wineries throughout the designated week.
Eating and drinking establishments have taken a tough financial hit from restrictions imposed as a result of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). This designated week is a chance for the community to come together and show support for our local businesses. Residents are encouraged to support local businesses any time of the year, but especially during takeout week.
Another way to show support is by posting on social media using the hashtag #VirginiaEatsLocal and tagging @visitspotsy. A list of of participating restaurants, breweries and wineries can be found on the dining page of visitspotsy.com .
VRLTA offers informational resources below for restaurants to encourage successful business practices and useful tips promoting safety during the COVID-19 outbreak.
