The number of COVID-19 cases in the region is now 12 with the first reported case in Fredericksburg. The Rappahannock Area Health District says Stafford has nine, Spotsylvania has two. Culpeper has two cases, Orange, Fauquier and Madison one each.
Statewide, numbers went up 54% between Tuesday and Wednesday. The state health department says nine people have died. 59 hospitalized.
