Virginia Senate passes bill to ban holding cellphones while driving

The Virginia Senate passed a bill prohibiting motorists from touching their cellphones while driving. The bill bans using a hand-held communication device unless its in hands-free mode while operating a vehicle. You currently can’t while in a road construction zone. The legislation still must pass the House.
