The Capitals and Fredericksburg are partners with the hockey rink next to Dixon Pool. Mayor Mary Katherine Greenlaw rode on the Zamboni that resurfaces the ice between periods and appeared for an interview on the scoreboard.
The Caps may want to consider having more Fredericksburg days. The team won in overtime after scoring twice in the final 45 seconds to tie the game.
