CAROLINE CO., Va. – On June 28, 2019 (Friday) at approximately, 9:49 p.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle crash with a fatality at the 7300 block of Macedonia Road.
The trooper’s preliminary investigation reveals that a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, driven by, Sheila A. Gorham, 47, of Woodford, Va. was traveling northbound on Macedonia Road when she ran off road right, over corrected back onto roadway, ran off road left, and struck a ditch. Gorham was partially ejected.
Gorham was not wearing her seat belt and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. A male passenger, 29, of Woodford was checked at the scene for minor injuries, but refused transportation to the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
