The fellowship will fund Commissioner Mayausky’s attendance to The Kennedy School’s program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government this summer at Harvard.
The Cahn Fellowship is a competitive Fellowship specifically available to current elected officials. Commissioner Mayausky was one of only four people selected for the July 2019 Senior Executives State and Local Government session. To date there have only been 22 Cahn Fellows to have completed the program. Past recipients include state representatives, state senators and state-wide elected officials from around the country.
The Senior Executives in State and Local Government program brings executives from around the country together to discuss strategic management, leadership and public policy issues facilitated by Harvard professors. This program is designed for senior-level managers serving in or working with state and local governments, including government officials, elected officeholders, and executives of nonprofit organizations, foundations, and national associations.
“It is a tremendous honor to receive the Cahn Fellowship. I am excited to share what we have been able to accomplish here in Stafford and learn from state and local leaders from around the world. Harvard will not only challenge me but also help me tackle the unique challenges we face in a dynamic community like Stafford.”
