STAFFORD, VA – Stafford County Public Schools is pleased to share some upcoming school theatrical performances.
Mountain View High School (MVHS) merges the literary masterpieces of Edgar Allen Poe with the chilling experience of an immersive haunted walk the entire experience walks you through Poe’s life, through his most famous works and through twisted passageways of his deepest haunts. You will experience live action stories such as The Cask of Amontillado and William Wilson. You will delve into Poe’s psyche as you wander through Poe’s obsession with medicine, crime and the ‘imp of the perverse’.
Walking tours begin in the MVHS Theatre foyer and leave every 15 minutes, October 25-27, according the ticket pre-sale ticket schedule, throughout the evening. Brooke Point High School Theatre Company presents You Can’t Take It with You, a comedy in three acts by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman.
Alice Sycamore falls in love with her boss’s son, Tony Kirby. When she invites her snobbish future in- laws to dinner, Alice’s peculiar family, including her philosophical grandfather, her playwriting mother, and her firework aficionado father, may be too eccentric for the stuffy Kirbys. A play bound to entertain its audience with loads of laughs, it also encourages living life to its fullest. Production dates and times are November 8 and 9 at 7:30 and November 10 at 2:00 and 7:30. Tickets are $5 at the door.
