Fredericksburg, VA — Central Rappahannock Regional Library is celebrating the annual International Observe the Moon Night with Meet the Moon, an open house for all ages on Saturday, October 20, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Porter Branch.
This STEM event is in partnership with the NASA Solar System Ambassadors Program and the Rappahannock Astronomy Club. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
Activities include:
- Telescopes through which to view the Moon. Some of our neighboring planets may also be visible!
- Books and videos you can check out to learn more about the Moon and space
- Photo and Video Booth – have fun using props to celebrate our celestial neighbor.
- Hands-on educational activities for kids
- A 3-D printer in action plus robotics
