Fred-Este’s Third Annual Pizza Palooza is coming up on Saturday, September 15!
This is our most visible event of the year and draws a huge crowd! We need plenty of friendly Fred-Este folks to set up, sell entrance and drink tickets, serve beverages, assist vendors, clean up, and so on. Visit our online spreadsheet to sign up. Grazie mille!
Full Event Details
It’s time for FUN! Saturday, September 15, 5-9 PM, is the date for Pizza Palooza, the rollicking event featuring pizza, beer and rock ‘n roll! Local pizza vendors offer up their competing slices for $1, and YOU can vote for your favorite! For $5 a pour, Italian wines are available, and Adventure Brewing Company offers their crafted brews on tap. Non-alcoholic beverages are $2 a bottle/can.
Admission is $2 CASH ($1s preferred), and the event is held in Market Square, just behind the Fredericksburg Area Museum, 907 Princess Anne Street. Sponsored by the Fredericksburg-Este Association, the Fredericksburg Area Museum, and B101.5, this family fun event features greatest hits and Beatles covers by local favorite Acoustic Onion. The Museum has made available a credit card reader for food and beverage purchases.
Pizza by the slice is provided by area favorites Primavera, Castiglia’s, Vocelli, and Paisano’s. In addition to the popular vote favorite winner, Best Pizza awards will be decided by local notables Bob Whittingham (Whittingham’s), Travis Bullock (Fredericksburg Fair Grounds), David Fraser (Fraser Wood), Joy Crump (Foode), and Jason Graham (City Council).
